A: We need to decide how to increase sales this month. Any ideas?
B: What about offering some discounts?
C: That’s a good idea but our prices are already cheaper than our competitors.
B: So why not send some advertising to customers? We could tell them about our prices.
B: I like that. I think we also need to use Internet and email more.
C: What do you mean?
B: Well, perhaps we could email some of our old customers and update the website?
C: That’s true. Our website is the same as it was six months ago.
A: OK. I’ll deal with that.
C: What about inviting someone from the local newspaper to visit the factory and show them our new range?
A: Brilliant! But I think we should invite all the newspapers.
C: I’m not sure about that. Do you think they would come?
B: We could at least try and see what happens.

LINGUISTIC DIARY

WEEK 1°

First week we use it for the arrangements of the class and requirements as the use of the blog, assignament of the teacher and the division of the group. We met both of the teachers then the teacher told us about her life in U.S.A with some pics we didn't work too much.

WEEK 2°
This week we work in the book about Marketing and we answer some questions about the paragraph "Marketing to students" and a Glossary of some new words. We saw some methods of selling and we use some word building of some jobs and proffesions and the Modals of Obligation so I learn how to use must, must not, need to, have to, don't have to, don't need to, we realize some exercises about the same. I was so confused how to answer the practice but i realize how to using the book. We did a little conversation the classroom.

WEEK 3°
This week we work less in the book we work in a paragraph, we answer some questions about the same we talk about one paragraph and also of another one. The teacher teach us how to use the page to make some comics and how to send them and we have to do one by homework in Present Perfect. It was hard for me because i made a mistake in the page clicking another button and it dissapeared, one day i missed a presentation conversation with a two partners.

WEEK 4°
This week we classify some sinonyms in the category of increase-decrease we listen a conversation and we answer some exercises also we learn present perfect and simple past, to me A lot of exercises were difficult. The teacher explained the topics in Spanish and English.

WEEK 5°
We saw a few themes in the book but for me it was more important Active and Passive Voice the difference and how to change it form an ordinary sentence. And we start the partial exams of english (reading, listening, speaking) and other ones.

WEEK 6
We work a little and it was a quick week
We made a conversation with a partner about how to complain a problem to shop manager and he explain two situations and evaluate the option and choose the best decision
We work in the book exercise about the meaning
We use phrases conditional

WEEK 7
In the vacations I think about my situation in the match and I realize that i need
Some extraordinary class of english .

Week 8
This week we work on the book about “increasing productivity”, and read the in the page 174 and answer the questions e.g. Why in productivity important? What factor does he say is vital?... etc. this exercise I like it because I understand the next exercise I try to read the article “Revolution in the car industry” we read to detail and the resolve meanings ask or true or false and we chose which of the following are mentioned in the article.

Week 9
This week saw and practice about adjectives and adverbs the deferent between the teacher explain which is which e.g. v -> adv. (tly- very ) ó v -> noum -> adv. ly ó adj -> noum I have the hope that like that is and we sing a song that very difficult to speak better y think we do this exercise really result efficient.

Week 10
This week we work in the book the adjectives formed from nouns we listening and complete the sentences. There was application exam of listening writing and speaking with the partner’s conversation about dilemma page 118

2002-2003 In Highschool I just take one year of English and the theacher was very dinamic like a lot that class because we sang some songs we played some games but im sorry because it was just that year.

2004 I studied the first level of English in Acatlan “UNAM” but just one semester because the situation of time y dates of inscription.

2004-2006 I studied three semesters of English in Highschool but i didn´t like too much cause there were a lot of students in the class it wasn’t the same attention for one student and the kind of studing was just repeat in a sheet of paper many times and the teachers were changed and then y do not knew really what was going on.

2006-2007 The three semesters and counting this of University i have been happy and i like a lot cause i focus on my career, the new vocabulary to use in the work and i work more the speaking so i can improve really mi english cause i work more talkin with the other people and i like a lot that there are two foreigner teachers that i like a lot

I have’t had the oportunity to travel to another country, i talked with some foreign people but the problem is that they speak spanish so y cant apply and practice my english i think that were workless.


I feel better working with the blog cause i have to do more effort to understand the instruccions of the teacher and also the advises published on the blog and i think its very nice that activity cause its more problematic to carry all day the carpet of PEL.
